From Emma and Reese to the red carpet return of Lupita and Jared Leto’s long, flowing locks, last night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards brought some incredible looks. Dare I say, some even better than the Golden Globes? (Gasp!)
My jaw has only dropped a handful of times for a handful of looks on the SAG red carpet. Obviously Rose Byrne in that Elie Saab Couture jumpsuit in 2012 is one of those times. And Diane Kruger in that marigold Jason Wu back in 2010? Don’t get me started. But it’s safe to say that last night, Film + TV’s biggest babes pulled out all the style-stops.
Here are my Most Major Looks from the SAG Awards.
#5: Camila Alves in Donna Karan Atelier. I was blown away by this look on her. Between the draping detail, the richness in the color + the minimal beauty, this look is everything. Also, her clutch is Aldo. I mean…
#4: Rosamund Pike in Dior Couture. This was a risk for Rosamund but it totally paid off. The wavy bob + bright lip seal the deal. Her best look yet.
#3: Felicity Jones in Balenciaga. Felicity has such an old Hollywood feel to her red carpet style that it makes an otherwise simple look look completely elegant. (And on a side note, if you haven’t seen the Balenciaga Spring 2015 Collection that this custom look is styled after…please do. It’s what dreams are made of.)
#2: Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture. This woman is next level. She once again stunned in Givenchy but this time, in this unbelievable emerald hue. She balanced the look with purple Chopard earrings + loose waves.
#1: Emma Stone in Dior Couture. Emma took this season’s menswear-inspired trend and made it look sensationally edgy and yet super glamorous at the same time. The red lip, slick hair + mismatched ear cuffs are beyond. She just gets it.
Also worth mentioning –
Keira Knightley ‘s Ear Cuff. Though I don’t think this edgy (and insanely stunning) ear cuff went with her boho, eyelit lace Erdem gown, it truly deserves it’s own award. It’s also giving me hope that she’s going to wow us at the Oscars. Keira, if you can hear me – please let it be Chanel.
Jennifer Aniston’s Body Chain. I’m just ok with the Vintage John Galliano number she wore, but I’m much more ok with the Fred Leighton body chain situation that’s happening.
