Talking about how to mix highs + lows to feel totally, effortlessly chic…without breaking the bank.

If you follow my OOTD’s on Instagram, then you know that lately, I’ve been all about mixing investment pieces with budget friendly basics. There’s something to be said about mixing highs + lows; looks that combine both feel fresh and more stylish. I was recently introduced to the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl’s and was blown away not only by the quality of the pieces but by how wearable they all are. But I mean, duh, it’s Lauren Conrad.

Needless to say, I’ve totally stocked up my closet (my bank account thanks me) and I’m having so much fun styling the looks with some of the more expensive pieces in my closet.

So what’s worth splurging on vs. saving? Spend on the skeleton of your look; jacket, shoes + bag. Always save on the items you replace every season; trendy pieces, prints and t-shirts.
