I grew up with the phrase, “Lucky We Live Hawaii”. And I mean, I WAS. The luckiest! Hello, it’s Hawaii! But never have I experienced the islands on vacation. You see, every time I go home, I go home. And even luckier than ‘living Hawaii’, is ‘living Hawaii’ at the Four Seasons Hualālai.

This trip was truly my first time traveling to another island, let alone stay in a hotel…let alone the Four Seasons. And let me tell you, 10/10 recommend. From the infinity pools – yes, plural, to the King’s pond, to the fresh poké caught right off-shore, and every inch of the property in between, the entire stay was a total pinch me moment.

Once we touched down in Hawaii, we checked into FS Hualālai and were greeted with the warmest Aloha. It felt SO good to be home, and even better home as a tourist…vacationing! We caught the most magical pink sunset and wasted no time exploring the 32-acre property. Every bit of FS Hualālai felt so secluded…like we were on our own little island…on the Big Island. We finished the night in the Dom Pérignon suite – the only in the U.S. – and cheersed to the start of a perfect week!

The next morning was all about room service. Because when every single room is ocean front, why wouldn’t you order your Hawaiian waffle with an ocean view, and maybe a guava mimosa on the side? LIVING.

Every in between moment of our stay was just as amazing as that waffle tasted. We booked massages at the spa, we drank piña coladas poolside, and even took a haku lei making class (I went with all white for those bridal vibes!). I took a dip in King’s pond – a giant aquarium, basically – carved from lava rock with over 4,000 fish swimming inside. Also, you should know…I literally wore the hotel slippers everywhere I went. It was a vibe, ok? FS Hualālai offers all. the. things. And I wanted to partake in every. single. one.

Perhaps the most breathtaking experience of our getaway was a private dinner right on the beach. Like, what is life?! If you follow me on Instagram, then you remember how magical this night was. The skies turned orange, Hawaiian music played live, lobster tails were grilling, I wiggled my barefoot toes in the sand and just felt SO grateful.

There’s a magic to Hawaii that I’ve always known, but a special spark to the FS Hualālai that you can only find there. Although I’m back in LA now, I’m already planning my next escape. Though hopefully next time I’ll maybe be honeymooning and putting that bridal haku lei to good use 😉 Check out the Four Seasons Hualālai here. Save your pennies. Book the trip. You’ll never want to leave!

PS – Wear the hotel slippers. Everywhere. Trust me on this one.

Oh! And PPS – special shout out to my girls Claudia Graziano, Francis Lola + Pau Dictado for being the best group ever. If there’s one thing I know, it’s to find the good ones and keep them close. And with a trip like this, I know I’ll consider these girls friends forever.
